Here is the continuation of my holiday. The second day we were there we went to Epcot at Disney.
I usually love it there, the last time I went I bought all kinds of Japanese and Chinese things (I was mega into them at the time). I got shoes and tea sets and chopsticks etc This time … I bought nothing :\
Everything seemed to be the same as the last time, my exact tea set was there, I couldn’t find the shoes but the rest was there. Anything new seemed expensive and pointless for me to buy, ok it would have been nice but generally pointless. We got round and saw some things, went on a few rides and then just came out. It’s always blazing sunshine when we go to Epcot so were usually burned and tired and exhausted.
The main thing I was looking forward to in Disney was the Tron legacy merchandise as the movie had come out not too long ago, so with it being a Disney film there should have been merchandise. All that was there was a couple of overly expensive pin badges, some weird vinylmation things and a limited edition mickey hat which was cool to see but very over priced for what it was.
I gathered that there must be other merchandise in Magic Kingdom, knowing Epcot was mainly for the world showcase. So we got back and then all of a sudden, the heavens opened, the rain was so bad I couldn’t see the hotels across the road. There was thunder and lightning like I have never seen. We made it just in time.
The next day we went for a bit more shopping, going to the bass pro shop (which I love because of all the guns and stuff on display) and the attached festival bay. Lord knows how festival bay remains open, it’s a huge centre with about 7 shops in it and a cinema, the rest is empty stores.
After we got my dad and brother some stuff they asked for we went across the road to the premium outlets on international drive. It was a good walk round, got a Starbucks and looked I’m the stores. The main shop I love there is the Oakley vault. Alas I was a little disappointed, the clothes were still amazing but nothing stood out at me. I did want a pair of sunglasses but again, nothing jumped out at me … Until … My sister showed me the limited edition 3D a transformers gascans. I fell in love, my brain disengaged and I had bought them before I can realise what I had done.
I don’t see many 3D movies anymore and when I do I get the free pairs because they fit over my glasses so I can actually see the movie. But they were still sexy as hell. I later figured out that gas can sunglasses have interchangeable lenses so I ended up buying a pair and changing them out so I can use them as normal sunglasses (I had to be very careful doing this tho as the 3D lenses aren’t as durable as the other lenses). Everything went well tho and I now have a sexy pair of sunglasses with transformers stuff all over them and blue lenses.
The rest of the holiday seemed to drag (not that I’m complaining) we did lots more shopping, I bought many new colours that I have never worn, got tanned by the pool and visited the parks we wanted to go to. We also went to see transformers 3 in the cinema as it had just come out when we were there. LOVED IT!!! The AMC cinema at universal was amazing too.
In general I think the holiday was great! I ate too much, spend all but $2, had a good time and did and bought everything I wanted to. I do feel however that I may be getting a bit too old for the parks there, maybe it’s because I have seen them 5 times now and not much has changed in them. Alas I think I am due a change. I’m looking to go to New York next and also want to d California and Canada so you haven’t heard the last from me America
Here is a photo of the rain we saw from out hotel.
And here is the box for my sexy transformer oakleys.
